Bury Summer Sixes Charity Darts League

This is the tenth anniversary of this league which has been sponsored since the beginning by Colin Green & Associates of Bury St Edmunds and the main purpose is to raise funds for the nominated charity. For the past two years this charity has been CLICK SARGENT which helps support children suffering from all types of cancer.

Almost £30,000 has been raised since the league started in 2001 and last year a cheque for over £5,000 was handed over. Over 30 teams now compete in the league in 5 different divisions. Funds are raised by each team having a collection tin with players who lose their games donating a minimum of £1. All league and player registration fees are also passed on to the charity as well as any individual projects that a pub/club may run on behalf of the league.

For the past 3 years Stowmarket FC have entered a team, winning Division 1 at the first attempt in 2008 and remaining undefeated throughout that season. In 2009 the team finished runners up in the league but did win the Div 1 KO Cup.
